About this resort
This season Sugarbush is celebrating its 60th anniversary since Damon and Sarah Gadd along with Jack Murphy first started spinning the lifts on December 25th, 1958. There's fun for the whole family year round at Sugarbush and in the Mad River Valley. The Valley boasts two cross-country skiing or snowshoeing facilities as well as a skating rink, all just a few minutes drive away. Historic Bridge St. in Waitsfield is a picturesque street complete with covered bridges, local shops and cafes and galleries. There are also numerous restaurants from Relais & Chateaux at the Pitcher Inn to the locals favorite Mad Taco, and everything in between. Back at Sugarbush, there are several snowshoe trails available around the resort for those who don’t wish to ski. Sunset Groomer Rides in the Lincoln Limo Cabin Cat are offered on weekends and holidays as a great way to enjoy views from the top of the mountain without having to hop on a chairlift. The Sugarbush Health and Recreation Center offers indoor pool and hot tub, fitness room, tennis courts, rock gym, kids zone, and more.
